After a months-long online game of cat-and-mouse, we finally met at the corner of Happy and Healthy. From there, we immediately went back to Hyrum's pad where things got REALLY steamy: in the form of Casey taking a bath while Hyrum went back to working. After his bath, Casey got even more comfortable in Hyrum's bed: and promptly fell asleep.

We quickly discovered a world of differences between ourselves: Casey lives a life of impulse, leaping head-first into whatever life throws at him. Hyrum lives a life of structure and planning, always concerned with the details. Together we made an unlikely pairing: like a fine well aged red wine mixed with sprite (sparkling rose anyone?). Our relationship was truly the caricature of a lazily written misfit-romcom.

And it worked. This weirdly matched combination of oil and water, of fire and ice... it worked, and kept working. We found commonalities. We found shared passions. We found in each other a love and partnership that weirdly, oddly, confusingly, makes sense, and feels right.

And so, 12 years on: Hyrum keeps learning the joy of spontaneity and an unplanned adventure, and Casey is constantly (constantly) reminded of the value of a high yield savings account.
